7.30.09 London

Freedom. Well, at least for one day. Darrin opted to give us a free day today, which was greatly appreciated. We of course started it out by sleeping in, then got ready to go snag some tickets to see Billy Elliot. We managed to get front row seats for 25 pounds and then headed back to South Kensington to go grocery shopping.

The grocery aftermath

Orangina. Sweet nectar from the Gods. Ashley introduced
us to this little gem in Paris, and we were overjoyed to find it here!

After making our purchases and walking home, we put it all away and spent the rest of the afternoon napping, doing laundry, sketching and blogging. It was just what we needed, a day to relax and recoop. The show started at seven thirty and we were all pumped for our first big show here in London.

Billy Elliot is a British founded musical that won 10 Tony Awards this year including Best New Musical. Not only was Billy amazing, but it was all the better being on the front row so you could see the faces and dancing so well. It was a great blend of humor, and drama; as well as wide genres of music. I hadnt heard any of the music before or knew much about the story line so I was fixed the whole time. I LOVED it. (aside from the Asains next to us. They kept leaning over in front of Lindsey, blocking her view. So at intermission we switched and I owned that armrest. She didnt even dare lean...) All in all, it was a great day. Relaxing. Productive. Entertaining.

I completely agree

Cheers!
