7.25.09 London

Today was free day number two, and a relaxing one it was. Again, slept in which was great; followed by sketching. We headed out of the flat around one and made our way to Portobello Road; a huge street market with stuff from fresh cooked food, sunglasses, clothes and everything else you could imagine....

Spotted these little hunnies. Sadly, they weren't for sale.
The five of us really wanted a picture standing in them.

After losing the girls for a good half hour and me wandering, I finally found them and we looked for food. We all have been craving mexican food so bad; so when I smelt the hickory smoke in the air I followed my senses which led me to this place.

Fresh it was. And so good!

Chicken burrito definitely deserved an enthusiastic thumbs up.

It was rather smokey inside, and all our eyes were
watering and burning. But we endured the lounge-like
ambiance for our meal, and it was worth it.

After another good round about in the market and some more purchases we decided to peace out and head on home.
Best purchase I have made thus far.

Cool door by the market.

On the Tube going home Ali remembered she needed to go to H&M and buy her friend a jacket she saw, so detour it was. We got lost when we got out of the tube and got to walk all around the world famous Harrod's.

Of course being outside of Harrod's, there were many a steezy cars to gawk over. Beautiful cars. I was snapping pictures right and left when in the distance we heard a smooth, sultry purr- like a well tuned speed boat gently gliding along glassy water, it pulled up. The main man himself.

This steez machine deserved three pictures. Although never a choice of mine, one has to appreciate the steeziness of the Rolls Royce. Oh and if you could have seen the inside; it was a wonderland of custom leather and fine wood trimmings, gently garnished in chrome. It is the defintion of classy. Thank you Mr. Royce.

We finally found the store, and it was round 4 vs H&M. The standings thus far, H&M-4. The Fab 5- 0 This dang store seems to continually get the best out of us. Its a beating we dont mind though. We hurried home, baked some pizza then headed out to catch a flick. On the menu was The Proposal. One, I love Sandra Bullock, always have. Two, Sandra is in the movie. Three, the movie is a comedy staring Sandra.. It was a done deal. Turned out to be hilarious and there were a few times during the movie that I ceased breathing for small periods of time due to painful laughter. I snuck in some sweets and a drink and it made for a great evening out with the gals.

Cheers!
